FIVE ON FRIDAY from the lil’ FARM

Linking up today with FIVE on FRIDAY to share a few random pics of my lil’ ole’ farm life.
Here’s to the farm life ya’ll.
I welcome 6 new baby Bantam (we call Baneys) chicks on May 30, 2016!

I watched ole’ Large (I named 3 of them Small, Medium and Large) play “kick the can” with a plastic bucket for about 15 minutes or so before tiring of it.

I was elated when a roll of hay that got away from me ended up FINALLY stopping on a section of barbed wire fencing.  Otherwise it would’ve went all the way down in the creek. Shew~

I watched as a single deer checked on the progress of the grapevines as I done the morning dishes.

And most off all, throughout the week, I stayed happy despite having to put up with a lot of…..

I hope you enjoyed my week all wrapped up in pics! And thanks much to Amy over at FIVE on FRIDAY for hosting the linkup!
See ya’ll next time,

FIVE COUNTRY FOODS for FRIDAY

Today is Friday so I want to share five country foods I can’t live without!
Well, I’m sure I could live without, but life wouldn’t be so gooood..
My Home Made Chocolate Pie in a cast iron skillet.
Warm bowl of turkey chili and saltines on a cold, dreary night.
Baked cornbread in a cast iron skillet with a buttery browned top.

Fried cornbread with a bit of butter to give it a golden, yummy finish.

And Beef! lol. Just had to throw this pic in of my uncle looking at his newest member on the mini farm.
I did use to love beef when I was little, but my 20’s I discovered I’m allergic to it. But boy, how I do remember that taste! Turkey just isn’t the same.
~Thank you to Amy from over at~
for the linkup!

Friday Five Random Things

My curtains soaking up the hot sunshine yesterday.
I’ve been finally getting a chance to get around in this “Blogland” lately and do some awesome reading and viewing.
I’ve been noticing today that people are sharing a lot of
Friday Five Random Things.
Here is my first little go of it with sharing five random photos.
I took a walk around outside in the hot sun yesterday. It felt so good. I heard it got to 82* here in my lil part of the world!

A beautiful, big ole tree up by our picnic area yesterday. Getting close to getting its leaves.

A little stream that goes beside my driveway looks so quaint in the sunset,  yesterday.

And here is a cute mason jar filled with Easter flowers brought to me by my nephew on Wednesday.
And finally for my last of the five, is this cute little Momma groundhog.
She was in our yard about two years ago when I got this photo.
She use to stand like that for about 3 or 4 minutes before moving every time I’d see her out.
Momma Groundhog who roams my little bit of American soil.
More photos of Momma Groundhog & her family found in my other post.
